My family and I fell in love with the Don Cesar last year when we visited St. Pete Beach. This hotel was our one major splurge on our trip. Because we normally spend three weeks to a month on the road we try to stay in mid-level hotels. However, after discovering the Don Cesar we now make it a must visit each year. If you have never visited this hotel and are looking for an amazing experience then the Don Cesar is a must! I don’t normally promote things in my blog unless I absolutely love them.  I just have such a warm spot in my heart for this hotel that I wanted to share our experience here.

If you want to be treated like you are someone special then this hotel is a must. Last year I was worried that we wouldn’t fit in because it is a very high end hotel. I was worried that we didn’t elude enough air of pretentiousness and we would look like we don’t fit it. I have to say that there is no air of pretentiousness in this hotel at all. Everyone treats you so well and with such human decency from the hotel staff to the guests staying here. It’s unfortunate that in most places customer service is seriously lacking. This is what I hate about our society now, people don’t seem to care about the customer. There seems to be a huge lack of customer loyalty most places you go to nowadays.

Last year when we visited the hotel we felt like we were special and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time. It was wonderful, I didn’t want to leave! For a whole year I’ve been looking forward to this visit. Before our arrival my publicist had contacted the hotel to ask about media interviews on the premises. Often times when I am traveling to different cities we take advantage of conducting interviews with the local media. When I checked in to the hotel Ron, the resort host, had asked to meet me when I arrived. He came down and said he had looked up my profile online. It was nice to see that a busy hotel like this actually takes the time to get to know who is staying with them.  He walked us to our room and chatted with us about the hotel and my business. He gave me his card and said I could contact him for anything I needed. We were also greeted by a lovely bowl of fruit and a welcome letter in our room from the office supervisor.

Our room had two very comfortable beds, a big screen TV, and a wonderful view of the pool and beach. The staff at this hotel are the most wonderful staff I have encountered in years (well at least since last year’s visit).

They remember your name and call you by it when they greet you. It’s so nice to feel like a person. When you go over to get towels the attendant brings your towels and a chair cover to the chairs for you and gets you all set up. They have complementary sun screen by the pool just in case you forget yours in the room. They also bring around fun samples of drinks around the pool for you to enjoy. Our kids always loved to try new drinks and would look out for the person with the big tray walking around.

There are two pools with very comfortable chairs around each one. There are nice big umbrellas to protect you from the hot Florida sun. The staff is super helpful to those of us with children. I’ve had different attendants come around to our chair to rearrange our umbrella to make sure we had the utmost protection from the sun.

All in all I am just in love with this hotel and their customer service. I wish they ran the world, then it would be a much happier place. I can’t wait until our visit next year! Take my word for it, if you are looking for an amazing vacation experience this hotel is a must!

A big thank you to Laura, our waitress around the pool who was the sweetest thing ever and to Ron who made us feel like valued guests. See you next year!
